Collaborators Trent Snyder (Bridge Up Brewing Company) and Jason Estes (Sonny’s Pizzeria) recently acquired the longtime market Ray’s Cherry Hut just south of Fish Creek, with a mission to bring a new level of fun to the two-acre site. Most recently known as White Cottage Red Door, the location’s new owners are planning to install outdoor fire tables and umbrella tables, offering seating for 150.
Among other items, the upcoming menu will feature Craft Hot Dogs with quality, unique toppings, Street Tacos filled with a variety of choices, and Rib Tips. Bridge Up Brewing beers and a select choice of wines will be available. Families are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to create their own personal picnic space. Local artisans are being invited to install their own “pop up” shop.
“Inventiveness” is at the center of the renewed energy Snyder and Estes are bringing to the new Cherry Hut, as well as a goal to keep the character of the original business fondly remembered by generations of Door County visitors. Door County jams, cherry pies and other traditional products will also continue to be found in the new Cherry Hut.
Fun, food, art, and tradition – a uniquely Door County business model.
