Baileys Harbor, Wis. (October 25, 2022) – The Ridges Sanctuary will host its annual Halloween Hike on Saturday, October 29. The Hidden Brook Boardwalk will be open for hiking from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Special Halloween-themed stations will be placed along the boardwalk that highlight creepy critters and spooky sights of The Ridges Sanctuary.
Learn about Door County’s bats, spiders, coyotes, and more as you meander down the path. Participants who make it to the Upper Range Light should prepare themselves for a ghostly encounter!
After hiking, cider and a fire will be waiting for families on the front lawn of the Nature Center. Flashlights will be provided for the duration of your hike and costumes are encouraged!
The event is appropriate for families of all ages. Fee: $8 public, $5 member, $5 child.
The Ridges Hidden Brook Boardwalk is ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible.

The Ridges Sanctuary is a 1,600-acre private, non-profit nature preserve located in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. It is listed as a National Natural Landmark, Important Bird Area and Wisconsin State Natural Area. Founded in 1937, the Ridges was protected as Wisconsin’s first land trust to protect and preserve the sensitive habitat found in Baileys Harbor. Today, The Ridges continues to serve Baileys Harbor through its mission of Education, Research and Land Preservation.
