ShoutHouse Performs on DCA Main Stage September 19

September 5, 2026 by Laurel Ciohon

Fish Creek, Wis. (September 5, 2026) – On September 19, the ensemble ShoutHouse will perform on the Door County Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage at 7 p.m., as well as presenting a public workshop and Q&A session at 11 a.m. to officially open the Emerson Education Wing at DCA’s new Cramer Exchange.

ShoutHouse is a New York City-based collective of musicians who bring together complex grooves, poetic hip-hop, high-octane vocals, and instrumental solos in a way that is delightfully new and entirely unexpected. The brainchild of composer/pianist Will Healy, ShoutHouse’s sound is an “absolutely unique blend of post-rock, art-rock, and indie classical styles” (New York Music Daily), with a core roster of musicians from many corners of the NYC music scene.

Ted Gioia, author of The History of Jazz, called ShoutHouse “a revelation . . . one of the most creative projects you’ll hear all year.”

ShoutHouse will perform on the Main Stage at 7 p.m. And at 11 a.m., the collective will offer a workshop and instrument demo in the new Emerson Education Wing of The Cramer Exchange, ahead of the official launch of music lessons in this brand-new space. ShoutHouse members will demonstrate and discuss their musical skills, education, and background, as well as take questions from the audience.

ShoutHouse will also perform a matinee for Door County students.

The ShoutHouse residency is made possible with funding from major sponsors The DöRR Hotel and Main Street Market; supporting sponsors Bob and Alice Chrismer, The Cramer Family Fund, and Wisconsin Public Radio; and Passport Program partners The Alexander Family, Blacksmith Inn, Door County Eye Associates, Jessica and Jimmy Grasse, kindgoods, The Liberty Lodge at Sister Bay, Peninsula Pulse, Red Putter Mini-Golf, Sweetie Pies, Tom and Barbara Thurman, The White Gull Inn, and Wild Tomato.

Tickets and more information are available online at www.dcauditorium.org, on the phone at (920) 868-2728, or in person at the box office. The box office and the Cramer Exchange are located at 3931 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m.
