The Southern Door Student Council and the American Red Cross are sponsoring a blood drive on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 9am-2pm at Southern Door High School, located at 2073 County Highway DK in Brussels.
Anyone who is at least 17 years of age, weighs at least 110 pounds or is 16 with parent permission, and is in good health may donate blood. The parent permission form can be found online at redcross.org. To sign up to give blood you can do one of following:
Sign up online at www.redcross.org and search the drop down menu titled “Give Blood.” You can then search your nearest blood drive and schedule an appointment at Southern Door. You will need to type in the zip code of 54204.
Call and make an appointment by contacting the Southern Door High School office at (920) 825-7333. Hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM – Monday through Friday.
Walk-ins are also accepted; but there may be a greater wait time.
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime. Remember: Save a life; give blood.
