Southern Door, Wis. (October 11, 2024) – In a powerful display of community spirit and collaboration, Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay High Schools are joining forces to raise funds for hurricane relief. Centered around athletic contests between the schools, the initiative will kick off with tonight’s football game at Memorial Field in Sturgeon Bay and will continue through the volleyball game, at Southern Door High School, on Tuesday, October 15. All ticket sale proceeds at these two events will be going directly to support those affected by recent hurricanes.
“We believe in the strength of our community and the importance of standing together in times of need,” said Sturgeon Bay Athletic Director Jon Dupuis. “These events provide an opportunity for our students, families, and fans to make a meaningful impact.”
In addition to the funds raised at the games, both schools will be accepting online donations to further support hurricane relief efforts. Community members who wish to contribute can do so by attending the games, using the QR code below, or by visiting the donation page at https://square.link/u/zVi4x1vw .
“We encourage everyone to attend the games, cheer on our teams, and contribute to a worthy cause,” added Southern Door’s Athletic Director Ben Kline. “Every dollar counts, and together, we can make a difference.”
