The Southern Door Community Auditorium is proud to announce the re-birth of tjhe Door County community musical with the upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors July 19-21, 2019.
This is a call to performers to audition at one of two open audition dates: Sunday, May 19 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. or Monday, May 20 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Callbacks, if needed, will be held Thursday, May 23 at 6:00 p.m. by invitation only. All auditions will take place at the Southern Door Community Auditorium which is conveniently located off of Highway 57 between Sturgeon Bay and Brussels. Rehearsals will occur primarily on weekdays June through mid-July. Show dates are July 19-21, 2019.
Auditions are open to adult performers, including those high school students graduating in 2019. Individuals do not need to reside in Door County to audition. Those interested should come with a prepared song and sheet music in your key for the accompanist. No prepared monologue is needed. In addition, please bring a list of your rehearsal and production date conflicts for the end of May through the run of the show. Individuals should download the audition packet, which will be available at sdauditorium.org starting April 6, prior to auditions.
For this production, we are looking for excellent adult actors/singers. No roles have been precast. The cast will consist of four male and four female leads along with ensemble members. A cast breakdown can be found at sdauditorium.org. Non-performing opportunities for high school students (with parental permission and school staff recommendation) and adults are also available in set construction and other areas.
