On Sept 27, Maxwelton Braes, Thyme Cuisine and the Ellie Helm Foundation will host its second annual casino night in the lodge hall. Together with Casino Events, the evening will be a night of Black Jack, Craps, Poker and Roulette for a good cause.
For one night, Maxwelton Braes will be transformed into a 1920s speakeasy casino. With table-side servers in era-dress, the night will be reminiscent of the low lit back rooms of yester year. Attendees are also encouraged to dress to theme, with prizes for the best dressed.
A special snack menu, whiskey tasting and wine toss will also be featured and the evening will be capped off with music and dancing with DJ Hope Reyes.
And, in true speak-easy form, those who pre-purchase tickets will receive a text message with the password that admits them into the secret bar room.
