Featured artists will be at the gallery from 3-6pm, with artist talks beginning at 4pm. This show will feature the work of Stella Holmes, Annie Guldberg, Lori Michel, Keary Kautzer, and Door County resident Stephanie Lord.
The gallery is happy to welcome you to view this magnificent and one-of-a-kind collection in person and bring you the show virtually via PlumBottomGallery.com.
Stephanie Lord is a Door County resident who paints en Plein air. Lord has participated in the Annual Miller Art Museum Juried Exhibition and the Annual Hardy Gallery Juried. Exhibition; Her oil paintings are mesmerizing and capture the true feelings of Door County.
Inspired by the American Impressionist style, Keary Kautzer paints with limited hues to set the mood. Each scene is inspired by the Door County landscape and will bring back treasured memories.
Stella Holmes draws her inspiration from Van Gogh, Monet, and the impressionist period. Trying to draw the viewer into the scene with the balance of color and light, Holmes wants others to see the joy and beauty of the sunlight peeking through in each piece.
Annie Guldberg paints with her heart in the mountains and her feet firmly planted in the midwest blending vibrant dreams with the enchantment of the Rocky Mountains. The starting point for Guldberg’s pieces is usually a real place, whether captured in a photograph or quick sketch- it is then infused with emotions, memories, and feelings. These are portrayed by the thick swirling textures, fields of vibrant colors, and simplified shapes. Experience the passion and beauty of Guldberg’s landscapes every day.
