Sister Bay, Wis. (April 1, 2025) — In a daring partnership intended to excite beer enthusiasts and Scandinavian cuisine aficionados alike, Stabbur Beer Garden and Peach Barn Brewing have announced the release of their much-anticipated Lutefisk Lager. The beer, which was carefully developed over an extended period, will officially debut at an exclusive launch event next month.
“This beer had been in development for awhile, and it took some time to get it right,” said Jason White, owner of Peach Barn Brewing. “It’s hard to find the right balance between the fresh fermented cod and our refreshing lager.”
Lutefisk Lager aims to capture the distinctive and beloved flavors synonymous with traditional Scandinavian dishes, offering a unique and refreshing tasting experience. Inspired by Stabbur Beer Garden’s famously popular Thor’s Hammer Herring shot (fresh herring with a shot of aquavit), the collaboration seeks to provide patrons with another distinctly Nordic option.
“We wanted to tap into the popularity of our Thor’s Hammer Herring shot and develop a beer that would be a perfect match,” said Brynn, Stabbur Beer Garden manager. “And, wow, Peach Barn really came through with that lutefisk-infused beer!”
Enthusiasts eager to sample this adventurous new lager will find it available exclusively at Stabbur Beer Garden and Peach Barn Brewing. Details on the launch event, including exact dates and special offerings, will be announced shortly on both businesses’ social media pages.
Fans of innovative brewing and adventurous flavors won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind beer experience, Peach Barn’s Jason White excitedly noted. “Lutefisk Lager is so good that it almost seems like a joke,” he concluded.
