Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (May 18, 2020) – On May 1st, the Maritime Museum announced that Board of Directors member John Baumgartner had pledged $50,000 to personally match any contribution to the Museum during the month of May, dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $100,000. That figure corresponds with the lost revenue the Museum is currently experiencing.
As of May 15th, they have received $9,350 in contributions and pledges! DCMM is so grateful to those who have made their gift to the Museum.
Obviously, they have a way to go to reach their goal.
With the matching challenge, your $50 gift becomes $100. A $1000 gift becomes $2000. Your $250 gift transforms into $500. A $5 gift becomes $10.
Your contribution will help the Door County Maritime Museum weather the current storm, allowing them to maintain our staff and continue bringing educational resources to the community, as they get closer to the time when we can open our doors and welcome visitors back to the Museum.
