Ephraim, Wis. (July 10, 2026) – The Ephraim Historical Foundation invites families to experience history firsthand this summer with Schoolhouse Lessons at the Pioneer Schoolhouse Museum.
Designed for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, but open to all ages, Schoolhouse Lessons give participants the opportunity to discover what life and education were like at the turn of the century in a traditional one-room schoolhouse setting.
Programs take place at 1:00 PM every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday throughout July at the Pioneer Schoolhouse Museum, located at 9988 Moravia Street in Ephraim. Each session begins promptly at 1:00 PM, lasts approximately 30 minutes, and features a different lesson every time.
Each Schoolhouse Lesson begins with a tour of the historic one-room schoolhouse, followed by a reading from The Story of Ephraim, a hands-on activity, and recess inspired by Ephraim’s history. The program combines interactive learning, storytelling, and play to create a fun and educational summer experience for children and families alike.
No registration is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome.
Schoolhouse Lessons are part of the Ephraim Historical Foundation’s summer programming designed to bring local history to life through engaging, hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages.
