Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (August 25, 2023) – Join Destination Sturgeon Bay in welcoming the season of autumn with Sturgeon Bay’s Annual Harvest Fest on Saturday, September 16.
Festivities begin the evening before with the Annual “Cruise by the Bay” Classic Car Parade presented by the Old Bolts Car Club. The classic car parade will kick-off the weekend fun starting at 5:30 pm on Friday, September 15. Beginning at the Door County Fairgrounds, the parade will proceed along Egg Harbor Road, across the Michigan Street Bridge and back across the Maple-Oregon Street Bridge where it will end at Martin Park.
On Saturday, Sturgeon Bay’s Harvest Fest will take over Third Avenue in celebration of the fall season ahead! Features include the Old Bolts Car Club Annual Classic Car Show, craft fair, food vendors, in-store specials, and live music. Third Avenue will be closed from Jefferson Street to Pennsylvania Street. This year’s Harvest Fest is sponsored by Kwik Trip of Sturgeon Bay.
The official “Mayoral Tapping of Oktoberfest Firkin” by Mayor Ward will take place at noon outside of Starboard Brewing Company on Third Avenue. At 1 pm, the excitement continues with a Stein Holding Contest at Starboard Brewing Company. The cost to participate in the contest is $20, and all participants take home a commemorative glass stein. Beer Puppeteer will follow shortly after at 2 pm.
As the evening approaches, head down to Martin Park on South Third Avenue to get one last look at this year’s beautiful street art projects. Starting at 3:30 pm, hear from this year’s Bass Around the Bay artists as they participate in live interviews from the Martin Park bandstand.
