Jacksonport, Wis. (June 12, 2023) – Open Door Bird Sanctuary will be open every Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm now through September 2. They will include Sunday, July 2, and Sunday, September 3 in their roster of public days as well.
Now with 19 raptor residents, including their newest bird, Oslo the Snowy Owl, you’ll want to make an afternoon if it! Bring a picnic lunch and check out the brand new picnic tables, explore the trails, Nature Center and visit with all of the birds and the knowledgeable volunteer team.
In addition, ODBS is introducing weekly Summer Day Camps for kids of all ages. Running for 10 weeks, you can try one, 2 or all of them for a thorough exploration of nature’s flora and fauna. Camp Days start June 21 and run through August 23. All of the class offerings and registration information can be found on our website.
Open Door Bird Sanctuary is the only attraction like this in Door County so don’t miss the chance to see hawks, owls, falcons and eagles in a close up and natural environment!
