Fish Creek, Wis. (Sept. 22, 2025) – On Saturday, September 27, at 7 p.m., Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present The California Honeydrops in concert.
Formed in the subway systems of Oakland, the electrifying retro-soul outfit The California Honeydrops defy convention at every turn. Led by enigmatic and energetic frontman Lech Wierzynski and drummer Benjamin Malament, each member of the band is a virtuoso in their own right, navigating a vast repertoire of original songs and timeless classics every night. But what truly sets them apart is their unwavering commitment to the art of improvisation, a skill so finely honed that they have completely stopped using set lists: no two shows are ever the same. Their music has been streamed more than 200 million times and heard onscreen in Dead To Me, Alaska Daily, Black-ish and more.
Rolling Stone wrote, “The California Honeydrops . . . evoke the greasy rumble of Booker T and channel the spiritual ecstasy of Sly and the Family Stone.”
The California Honeydrops’ performance is made possible with support from major sponsorship Peninsula Pulse and supporting sponsors The Cordon Family Foundation, Beth Healy and Mike Fordney, Nathan Nichols & Company, and Parkwood Lodge.
The show begins at 7 p.m. on September 27. Tickets range from $35-58, plus sales tax and a facility fee of $2/ticket and $6/order. Advance reservations are encouraged. The DCA box office is located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek.
