Egg Harbor, Wis. (August 31, 2021) – Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor is pleased to welcome Wisconsin artists Lynn Schoenecker (silk screening), Evelyn Grasse (watercolors) and Rockford native, Tom Linden (plein air oils). Nature is so vast and this show takes a glimpse at the various interpretations of the that world that circles around us and within us. Each artist brings distinctly different styles and representation to the mix.
Woodwalk will have an opening reception on Sunday, September 5, from 12-3pm. Enjoy live music by George Sawyn from 12:30-2:30pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Tom is no stranger to Door County, spending many weeks throughout the year capturing the essence of our community on canvas. Evie’s easy but rich watercolors reflect all sides of Wisconsin, from flora and fauna to rural settings and Door County. Lynn’s process is one of the most intense and time consuming. Using anywhere from 30 to 70 screens to capture a prairie image, her work comes to life with rich and vibrant hand mixed colors. To transfer sketch to screen takes a photographic process that uses a light-sensitive emulsion.
To really appreciate the creative process, you can see Lynn demonstrating from 12-2:30pm on Sunday, September 5 at the opening reception.
