Fish Creek, Wis. (January 30, 2026) – On Tuesday, February 10, at 7 p.m., Chinese acrobatic troupe The Peking Acrobats will perform at Door Community Auditorium (DCA).
For the last 32 years, The Peking Acrobats have redefined audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics, defying gravity with eye-popping displays of contortion, flexibility, and control. They perform daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs and display their technical prowess at such arts as trick cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting, and gymnastics. The show’s high-tech special effects and awe-inspiring acrobatic feats coalesce with traditional Chinese music, performed by skillful live musicians. In China, high honor is conferred upon those skilled enough to become acrobats. The Peking Acrobats seek to uphold this ancient folk-art tradition, even as they bring it to new, 21st-century heights.
The New York Post wrote, “The Peking Acrobats [are] pushing the envelope of human possibility.”
The public performance by The Peking Acrobats is made possible by supporting sponsors Richard and Barbara Board. Two student matinee performances are made possible with funding from DCA’s Passport Program sponsors, including major sponsors Landmark Resort, Peninsula Pulse, Dörr Hotel; supporting sponsors Cramer Family Fund, Wild Tomato, and Wisconsin Public Radio; and partners The Alexander Family, Alexander’s Restaurant, Bermas & Branstetter, Natalie Conrardy, The Cordon Family Foundation, Door County Eye Associates, Ellison Inn & Lounge, Grasse’s Grill, kindgoods, Liberty Lodge at Sister Bay, Red Putter, Sister Bay Suds, Tom and Barbara Thurman, The White Gull Inn, and Wood Rabbit Acupuncture.
