Baileys Harbor, Wis. (May 16, 2021) – The Ridges Sanctuary Board of Directors is pleased to announce the recent appointments of Andrew (Andy) Gill as Executive Director and Katie Krouse as Director of Operations.
Andy served as the Executive Director of Pease Park Conservancy in Austin, Texas for 3 ½ years before moving to Door County and co-founding the popular Heirloom Cafe’ and Provisions located in Baileys Harbor. While at Pease Park Conservancy, Andy developed the organization’s master plan, led a successful capital campaign and directed the growth of the organization. Andy is also a founding member of the nonprofit Horseshoe Bay Farms, Inc., and is president of the Board of Directors of the Baileys Harbor Community Association.
Katie Krouse has been with The Ridges for six years, most recently as the program manager. In addition to developing and leading programs for visitors, and coordinating volunteer programs, Katie has taken on marketing and communication responsibilities, and developed procedures that allowed visitors to safely experience The Ridges Sanctuary during Covid 19. Katie is also a board representative for the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership Board of Directors, representing the Climate Change Coalition of Door County.
