Fish Creek, Wis. (September 28, 2026) – On Friday, October 9, at 7 p.m., The War and Treaty will return by popular demand to the Door County Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage.
Since forming in 2014, The War and Treaty have amassed a following as eclectic as their sound itself, a bluesy but joyful fusion of Southern soul, gospel, country, and rock and roll. Known for a live show that’s revival-like in its intensity, the husband-and-wife team of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount-Trotter create an exhilarating exchange of energy with their audience, a dynamic they’ve brought to the stage in opening for the legendary Al Green and touring with the likes of Brandi Carlile and Jason Isbell. Their Grammy-nominated, Americana-Award-winning albums “brim over with unbridled passion and torrid energy” (Folk Alley).
National Public Radio said The War and Treaty have “an ecstatic, empowering sense of partnership.”
