Thrills & Chills in Sturgeon Bay 2025

October 9, 2025 by Laurel Ciohon

Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (October, 2025) – Destination Sturgeon Bay invites you and your family to enjoy a day of spooky Halloween fun on Saturday, October 25th! Thrills & Chills, sponsored by Quantum Technologies, will include kid friendly, Halloween themed activities throughout the walkable east and west waterfronts in Historic Downtown Sturgeon Bay.

Friday, October 24th kicks off Thrills & Chills weekend with free Pumpkin Carving on the patio of Bay Shore Outfitters at 59 N. Madison Ave. with drink specials for the adults and drinks for the littles from 4:30 pm until 8 pm.

The Annual Kids Costume Parade will begin at Community Foundation Square on Saturday, September 25, at 10 am. Families interested in joining should meet at Community Foundation Square around 9:45 am. Led by the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department, the parade will travel down 3rd Avenue and finish at Martin Park, where prizes will be awarded for the best costumes! After the awards, head back to Community Foundation Square to keep the fun going with inflatable kids’ activities, music, a selfie station, and the mobile bar serving hot chocolate, cider and coffee until 12 pm.

Trick-or-treating along east and west waterfront businesses will start after the parade ends and will go until 12 pm. Find participating businesses with the “Thrills & Chills” Window Decal.

From 10:30 am to 1 pm, the Boys & Girls Club of Door County at 55 S. 3rd Ave. will transform into a Haunted House created by kids, for kids, with free admission for all! The fun continues until 1:30 pm with food, baked treats, and activities. Enjoy hot dogs, nachos, chips, STEM projects, and crafts. Open to the community, everyone is welcome!

Kitty O’Reilly’s at 59 E. Oak St. is hosting a Spooktacular Halloween Kids Costume Dance Party filled with fun for the whole family. From 1:30 to 3:30 pm, a DJ will keep the party going, while kids enjoy cookie decorating, rock painting, and hot chocolate topped with festive Halloween garnishes. Throughout the day, there will also be games and trivia to keep the excitement alive. As part of the main costume contest, Kitty O’Reilly’s will feature a Best Dressed Family Group category, with a $50 gift card prize for the winners.

The Spook-tacular Sturgeon Bay Scavenger Hunt is back again this year! Stop into the Destination Sturgeon Bay Welcome Center to pick up your scavenger hunt map from now until October 31st. Once you’ve visited all the stops, drop off your map for a chance to win a special Sturgeon Bay prize. Don’t miss Thrills and Chills on October 25th – mark your calendars for a spook-tacular time!
