Door County, Wis. (March 17, 2025) – As of March 10, tickets are officially on sale for the 12th annual Tales of Our Lives Story Slam presented by Women’s Fund of Door County in collaboration with Northern Sky Theater.
Six storytellers will take the stage on Saturday, April 12 at the Gould Theater to share their stories. Accompanied by the music of local blues artist Cathy Grier, each tale will revolve around a unique experience, relationship or life lesson that left a profound mark on the speaker. Over the years, these stories have ranged from the profoundly moving to the laugh-out-loud hilarious. Either way, one thing is for certain, these stories are sure to stick with you for a lifetime.
This year’s storytellers include:
- Allyson Fleck – Executive Director and Assistant Artistic Director, Midsummer’s Music, Sister Bay
- Beth Hudak – Director of Community Engagement, House of Hope, Green Bay
- Jodi Rose Gonzales – Artist and Art Therapist, Jodi Rose Studio, Sturgeon Bay
- Lisa Harper – Tales of our Lives co-chair and Executive Director, Peninsula Music Festival, Sister Bay
- melaniejane – Artist and Owner, Holiday Music Hotel, Sturgeon Bay
- Mona Christensen – Executive Director Emeritus, Birch Creek Music Performance Center, Egg Harbor
Tickets are $30 each. The performance starts at 7:00 PM and will include a brief intermission. A reception will follow.
