Composer and violinist/fiddler George Meyer will offer an inside look at the creative process behind writing new music. Drawing from his own experiences as a composer, he will discuss where musical ideas come from, what “genre” has to do with anything, how a composition develops from concept to performance, and the challenges and rewards of creating music for today’s audiences.
