Fish Creek, Wis. (October 19, 2020) – To keep the spirit of Jack o’ Lantern Days alive, Fish Creek has decided to turn their Costume Contest into a virtual event this year! They will miss seeing all of the costumes in Fish Creek so much that they had to do something.
Bonnie Smith – a dear friend, Fish Creek business owner and huge supporter of Jack o’ Lantern Days – sadly passed away in January 2020. To honor her years of dedication to this event, Fish Creek is renaming their contest to the Bonnie Smith Memorial Costume Contest.
Here’s how it will work:
- Take a picture in your Halloween Costume.
- Post your picture to Facebook or Instagram on October 31 and make sure to use #fishcreekjackdays2020 so they can see it! (Also, make sure your post is ‘Public.’)
Costume categories are Adult, Kid, and Pet. The Visit Fish Creek Selection Committee will be determining the top finishers in each category. Top finishers will be notified via Facebook or Instagram message within one week.
Photo submissions will be collected on Saturday, October 31 from 12:01am – 11:59pm CST. For official contest rules, please click here.
Please note: while we can’t physically gather for Jack o’ Lantern Days this year, Fish Creek looking forward to being together for Jack o’ Lantern Days in 2021.
