Fish Creek, Wis. (September 15, 2022) – On Friday, September 16, at 7 p.m., Canadian Brass will perform on the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage. They’ll also perform a student matinee; more information below.
Named by The Washington Post as “the men who put brass music on the map,” Canadian Brass is arguably the most popular modern-day brass ensemble in the world. Each of Canadian Brass’s five members is a master of live performance, bringing their prodigious skill and vibrant stage presence to bear on everything from trademark Baroque and Dixieland tunes to new compositions and arrangements created especially for them.
The Plain Dealer wrote, “One need not be partial to brass, or even to classical music, to love Canadian Brass. For these famous five are masters not only of music but also of presentation . . . the chops of virtuosos and the deadpan delivery of the best stand-up comics.”
At home on the world’s best symphonic stages, Canadian Brass is equally game for television performances on Sesame Street or The Tonight Show. For more than four decades, Canadian Brass has been entertaining, spontaneous, virtuosic, and—most of all—fun.
Preceding the evening show, DCA will present a student matinee performance at 1:40 p.m. as part of its Passport Program series. The show is best suited for students in Grades 4-12.
