Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (March 29, 2023) – The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) Door County Campus is excited to announce open adoption hours, starting Saturday, April 1, 2023. Adoption appointments will no longer be required in order to see animals; simply stop in during adoption hours to meet with a counselor, check out available animals, or browse the retail store. The WHS Door County Campus will be open for adoptions and animal viewing on Saturdays from 12 – 4 p.m., as well as Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Adoption services will be closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. Stray/surrender hours remain unchanged at 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Sunday; if you are bringing an animal to WHS, please call in advance at 920-746-1111 to make an appointment.
Interested adopters are encouraged to view available animals online and fill out an adopter profile ahead of time at www.wihumane.org/adopt. Adoptions are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and you go home with the animal the same day. The WHS Door County Campus is located at 3475 Park Drive in Sturgeon Bay.
