Green Bay and Door County, Wis. – For those looking to make a difference this holiday season, the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is proud to announce that donations are being matched up to $25,000 this Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity happening on December 2. This year, your contributions go further thanks to the matching fund in honor and memory of Charlie and Carol James, and by WHS friends Geri Halaska, as well as Caroline “Charlie” Barrow, in lieu of a 50th birthday bash and in memory of all of her beloved pets over the years.
You can make a donation of any amount by heading to wihumane.org/givingtuesday. You can even donate in honor of a family member, loved one, or even as a gift for that hard to shop for animal lover in your life. The best part is your donation will go directly to helping community animals and the people who love them.
The Wisconsin Humane Society is a local nonprofit and does not receive any general government funding. There is also no umbrella organization in animal welfare, meaning they rely heavily on the generosity of the communities they serve. The organization serves more than 40,000 animals and families every year and wouldn’t be able to do what they do without your support.
