Ephraim, Wis. (August 13, 2026) – Visitors are invited to step into Ephraim’s history this August with a visit to the Pioneer Schoolhouse Museum, open only Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The iconic schoolhouse offers visitors a chance to explore Ephraim’s local culture and history while discovering a special pop-up exhibit from the Wisconsin Historical Society.
On display is the traveling exhibit “We Stand on Their Shoulders: A History of Wisconsin Women and Voting” which explores the history of women’s political rights in Wisconsin. Through photographs, stories, and historical information, the exhibit highlights important moments in Wisconsin’s history and recognizes some of the women who helped pave the way for greater political participation.
Visitors can enjoy a self-guided experience through the pop-up exhibit while exploring the Pioneer Schoolhouse Museum and its exhibits. Friendly staff will also be available throughout the day to answer questions and share more about Ephraim’s history.
