Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (May 1, 2023) – Door County Parks Manager Tim Kazmierczak will make the case that “You Gotta Love Door County Parks” at the next presentation in the Door County Master Gardeners (DCMGA) Educational Lecture Series on Thursday, May 4, at Crossroads at Big Creek, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Kazmierczak will present an overview of the 20 parks covering more than 1,000 acres that he is responsible for as Door County Parks Manager. He will discuss when the parks were established, where they are located and what they offer for residents and visitors. He will also explain who makes up the Parks Department and the roles they play.
The 2023 DCMGA Educational Lecture Series is being presented with support from the Door County Medical Center. This lecture is presented in collaboration with Crossroads at Big Creek.
The lecture will be offered in-person and is free and open to the public.
About Tim Kazmierczak: Tim has been Door County Parks Manager since October of 2022. As a former USDA Potato Genebank employee for 11 years, he raised his family at the Peninsular Agricultural Research Station with his wife, L’Erin. Tim was also a former DCMGA Board Member, Director of The Garden Door, and Chair of the Long-Range Planning Committee. His education includes study in Horticulture, Business, and Aviation Mechanics.
