Fish Creek, Wis. (July 21, 2025) – On Wednesday, July 30, at 8 p.m., jazz legend Arturo Sandoval will perform at Door Community Auditorium (DCA).
A protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval was born in Cuba in 1949, just two years after Gillespie became the first musician to bring Latin influences into American jazz. Sandoval began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn’t take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world. He has since evolved into one of the world’s most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugelhorn, as well as a renowned classical artist, pianist, and composer. A ten-time Grammy Award winner, six-time Billboard Award winner, and an Emmy Award winner, Sandoval is one of the most dynamic and vivacious live performers of our time.
The Roanoke Times wrote, “Let’s just get this out of the way: Arturo Sandoval is obscenely talented.”
Arturo Sandoval’s performance is made possible with support from major sponsors The Dörr Hotel, Peninsula Pulse, Tom and Barbara Thurman, and Wisconsin Public Radio; as well as supporting sponsors Door County Medical Center and Elliot and Lorraine Glicksman.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on July 30. Tickets range from $55-85, plus sales tax and a facility fee of $2/ticket and $6/order. Advance reservations are encouraged.
