Door County Historical Society Announces February Dine & Discover Program

January 28, 2026 by Laurel Ciohon

Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (January 28, 2026) — Don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy an engaging afternoon of music, history, and community at the Door County Historical Society’s February 2026 Dine & Discover program. The luncheon will be held on February 28 at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club, 600 Nautical Drive, Sturgeon Bay. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch is served at noon, and the program follows. All are welcome, and advance registration is strongly encouraged.

The featured speaker will be Jenna Ferdon, Executive Director of Birch Creek Music Performance Center. Her presentation, Birch Creek Music Performance Center: 50 Seasons of Performance-Based Learning, will explore the evolution of Birch Creek from a historic farm on County E into a nationally recognized music performance center. Ferdon will also discuss Birch Creek’s performance-based learning model and its lasting impact on students, professional musicians, and the Door County community over more than 50 years.

Guests will enjoy a plated luncheon with a choice of Cherry BBQ Meatloaf, Chicken Velouté, or a Vegetarian Apple Gorgonzola Salad, each served with accompaniments. Coffee, water, and cookies are included, and a cash bar will be available.

The cost is $40 per person, or $35 for Door County Historical Society members. Registration is available online at www.doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org, by phone at 920-421-2332, or in person at 130 N. 4th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay.

Dine & Discover programs offer more than a memorable meal and an engaging presentation—they support the Door County Historical Society’s mission to preserve, maintain, and share local history. In honor of the Door County Historical Society’s 100th anniversary, each Dine & Discover program in 2026 will include a special “Highlights of Our History” component. These brief presentations will share meaningful moments and milestones from the Society’s first century, offering attendees a deeper connection to the organization’s legacy and impact.

For more information or to register, visit www.doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org or call 920-421-2332.
