- The true story explores Jean Philippe Soquet, known as the “Bay Settlement Bruiser” and “Belgian Archfiend,” and the suspicious deaths and disappearances surrounding him—including those of three of his wives.
- Set in the decades following the Civil War, the book follows Pauline Villiesse and Xavier Martin’s pursuit of truth and justice within a tightly bound Belgian community.
- A book signing and conversation will follow the presentation.
