We begin The Poetry of David Perry, a stunning program showcasing one of the country’s finest violinists—our own David Perry. David takes center stage in Ernest Chausson’s Poème, one of the great orchestral works for solo violin, presented in a special chamber music version created by the composer himself. David’s Pro Arte Quartet colleague, violist Sally Chisholm, opens the program with Turina’s evocative Scène Andalouse. The evening culminates with Fauré’s brilliant Piano Quartet No. 1, featuring pianist Jeannie Yu.
