Newport State Park: Summer Solstice Event
Join Marjasana Kay for a special gathering to celebrate the transition from spring to summer. This event includes a short talk on the meaning of solstice, interactive sharing, group voice activation, sound healing, and a short “Resonant Walk with the Trees at Newport." Mozart wrote his Quintet for Clarinet for String Quartet in the final months of his life. Enthralled by the superb playing of Anton Stadler on this newly created instrument, he created a sublime work of extraordinary beauty. The program concludes with a heartfelt and compelling work by one of Russia’s best composers of the late 19th century. Alexander Glazunov captures the drama and romance of a Tchaikovsky Ballet or a Rachmaninoff piano concerto.

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 21st, in Graham Park in Sturgeon Bay area yoga teachers will be facilitating 108 Sun Salutations to raise money for The Yoga Womb, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to make yoga and meditation accessible to as many people as possible. The event will also bring awareness to the benefits of yoga and meditation and the thriving yoga community in Door County.
