Rhythm + Roots Marketplace
The Egg Harbor Business Association and the Village of Egg Harbor are happy to announce that Rhythm & Roots is returning to Peg Egan Performing Arts Center for its second season. The event will be held on Thursday nights starting June 18 through August 20. The event runs 4pm-7pm with the market starting at 4pm and concerts to follow at 5pm. Every Saturday morning from mid June to early October, our Open Aire Market offers fresh, locally-grown produce and prepared foods, plus locally-produced arts and crafts, all from area vendors. Children’s activities are frequently provided, and the historic Koessl Barn is open for a walk through of our new exhibit “Vacation Cottages of Sister Bay.” The restored Door County Bookmobile will be joining us on June 13. Come take a tour of this important part of Door County history!

One of the country’s very finest violinists, our own David Perry, brings us one of the great orchestral solo works, Ernest Chausson’s Poème, in a special chamber music version the composer himself created. David’s colleague in the Pro Arte Quartet, violist Sally Chisholm, introduces the program with Turina’s evocative Scène Andalouse. This French/Spanish flavored program culminates with Fauré’s brilliant masterpiece, the Piano Quartet No. 1 joined by pianist Jeannie Yu. A star-embedded program!

All are welcome to enjoy free sunset yoga in Sister Bay’s Waterfront Park! Try it once or come every week. Certified instructors from Ironwood Yoga will teach the class. Please bring your own mat if possible. Social distancing will be enforced, but there is plenty of room. This outdoor class will be available 7-8pm on Monday nights starting on June 22 and going through September 28.
