Door County, Wis. (January 8, 2026) —The Peninsula Music Festival (PMF) invites audiences to warm up their winter with FebFest, a beloved series of intimate chamber concerts performed by members of the Festival Orchestra and special guest artists. Taking place on February 1, 15, and 22 at 2:00 p.m., these afternoon performances will be held at the Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Egg Harbor.
Originally introduced in 1998, FebFest brings PMF musicians back together during the winter months for boutique chamber performances in a relaxed, up-close setting. The 2026 series showcases a diverse mix of brass, romantic chamber works, and American classics—while also offering an exclusive sneak peek into the future of the Festival.
The series opens on Sunday, February 1 with the PMF Brass Quintet, featuring Paul Bellino (trombone), Bruce Briney and Mark Hughes (trumpets), Erich Peterson (horn), and Charlie Schuchat (tuba). The program includes uplifting selections such as Dance by Wilke Renwick, Battle Suite by Scheidt, An Die Musik by Schubert, and Three Little Dances by Florence Price. During this concert, PMF will officially announce its 74th season, giving attendees the first look at what’s ahead.
On Sunday, February 15, audiences are invited to extend their Valentine’s Day celebration with Romance, featuring violist Thomas Kluge and pianist Christi Zuniga—two of PMF’s three favorite Cornhusker musicians. Their expressive program includes works by Reinecke, Schubert, Handoshkin, and Mendelssohn.
The series concludes on Sunday, February 22 with Americana, welcoming back renowned pianist Jodie DeSalvo alongside beloved soprano Cynthia Stiehl. The program celebrates American composers with music by Confrey, Joplin, Fine, and Gershwin, offering a joyful and nostalgic finale to the winter series.
“FebFest is one of our favorite ways to stay connected with our audience during the winter months,” said Lisa Harper, Executive Director of Peninsula Music Festival. “These concerts are intimate, joyful, and personal, and they allow us to showcase the incredible artistry of our musicians in a setting that feels warm and welcoming. We’re especially excited to share the announcement of our 74th season during the first concert, making FebFest the perfect bridge between winter and the exciting summer ahead.”
Tickets for FebFest are $35 per concert or $100 for a three-concert subscription. Tickets are available now at www.musicfestival.com.
