Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (December 21, 2020) – Sunshine Resources of Door County and Mirrix Looms look to take their relationship to a new level, even after a 23-year partnership!
“Twenty-four years ago, we started Mirrix Looms in a garage. As our needs changed, we moved our entire manufacturing operation to Sunshine House,” says Claudia Chase who co-owns Mirrix with Elena Kawachi. “Sunshine House has been instrumental in our success.”
After more than two decades, Mirrix is now looking to the future as they grow and add more products to their line of professional quality looms. The sales of Mirrix’s professional quality looms has exceeded company expectations.
“In the first quarter of 2021, a goal of our new partnership with Sunshine is to provide the clients with as much work as possible. We are designing our new manufacturing space to accommodate Sunshine House clients,”said Chase.
“We believe in Sunshine Houses’ mission to provide supported jobs and job opportunities to people with disabilities and plan to continue our partnership with Sunshine House to ensure we are able to make and stock our growing line of looms, kits and yarn,” explained Chase.
In 2020, Sunshine House continued to build looms and ship orders to people all over the United States and the world. Although the manufacturing of the looms themselves will happen outside of the production area, the job opportunities for clients with disabilities will be much greater than ever before. Assembling and packing kits and yarn and keeping our inventory levels high will become the core of the Mirrix/Sunshine House relationship. Mirrix plans to continue their support of Sunshine House and its owners look forward to a continuing and ever changing long-term relationship.
“The partnership with Mirrix has been one of that we have been extremely proud in and as they grow, we are thrilled to be a part of that growth,” said Randy Morrow, CEO of Sunshine Resources.
