Open Aire Market
Every Saturday morning from mid June to early October, our Open Aire Market offers fresh, locally-grown produce and prepared foods, plus locally-produced arts and crafts, all from area vendors. Children’s activities are frequently provided, and the historic Koessl Barn is open for a walk through of our new exhibit “Vacation Cottages of Sister Bay.” The restored Door County Bookmobile will be joining us on June 13. Come take a tour of this important part of Door County history!

Composer and violinist/fiddler George Meyer will offer an inside look at the creative process behind writing new music. Drawing from his own experiences as a composer, he will discuss where musical ideas come from, what “genre” has to do with anything, how a composition develops from concept to performance, and the challenges and rewards of creating music for today’s audiences. Coffee Talk programs are free, informal presentations on music topics by ensemble members, staff, and friends.
