Ukulele Society at Noble Square
Come have some fun, sing along, and bring a chair to enjoy an afternoon at Noble Square. The Ukulele Society of Door County will play well-known songs from the past hundred years, including music by Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and Bruno Mars. We begin The Poetry of David Perry, a stunning program showcasing one of the country’s finest violinists—our own David Perry. David takes center stage in Ernest Chausson’s Poème, one of the great orchestral works for solo violin, presented in a special chamber music version created by the composer himself. David’s Pro Arte Quartet colleague, violist Sally Chisholm, opens the program with Turina’s evocative Scène Andalouse. The evening culminates with Fauré’s brilliant Piano Quartet No. 1, featuring pianist Jeannie Yu.

Featuring pat mAcdonald, Sideshows happen in the side seating area to the left of the stage (capacity: 21). The setlist for the night is randomized through a game of cards. 63+ song titles are in the deck, and everyone draws 3 and picks one to “play” (request).
